Stress
Now – a days stress has become a part of life. And this is a result of any physical, chemical or emotional factors that cause of mental unrest. Due to these factors , illness, infection, emotional trauma, toxins can be increased. Emotional factors of stress and tensions are varied from person to person . stress also effects on our physiology and body function. Stress has 3 stages
[a ] alarm stage where we stressors and we try to face with fight / flight.
[b] resistance stage, in which our many glands creates hormones that protect to us in different ways.
[c] and last stage Exhaustion stage where physical changes start which can be cause of different types of disease and tissues damage like blood pressure, diabetes , ulcer.
But it is not always harmful. Sometimes it gives positive result , in stress , we do hard labour and get success, get a promotion etc...
There are 3 types of stress –
Acute stress- this is a temporary stress faced by us when we face excitement or unexpected situation.
Episodic stress - when we get a situation for a period of time.
Chronic stress – when situation is out of control .
There are different types of sources of stress
Physiological stressors like obesity, hypertension, excessive alcohol taking, smoking etc.
Environmental stressors – extreme pollution, noise, crowding, epidemic, war, badh, fire etc.
Other factors which are responsible for it
Major life events, daily problems , overload , frustration
Hardy personality, rigidness, negative thinking, poor adjustment problem etc
Poverty , marital dissatisfaction, divorce, death etc
But we can control on it by some strategies like: -
Exercise,
Relaxation , Meditation
Biofeedback,
Time management, social support
Do work first which is important,
Do not do anything in hurry.
